💡 Understanding Notation Types

Scientific Notation

A number in the form a × 10^b where 1 ≤ |a| < 10 and b is an integer.
Example: 3.45 × 10^8

Engineering Notation

Similar to scientific notation, but the exponent is a multiple of 3 (便于与SI单位前缀对应).
Example: 345 × 10^6

E-Notation

Common in computing: the "E" represents "× 10^".
Example: 3.45E+8
